My name is Kennedy Neubauer and I am a freshman at Blue Valley West currently. I take photography 1 which is very different and interesting. I take photos with film and process the images in the dark room opposed to digital imaging. In this class I did many different projects throughout the semester. There was occasions when this class was challenging because there is different light, settings, times, black bags etc. I learned a lot in this class and I am satisfied with how most of the pictures turned out. Each week was a different subject for the roll and I got creative with some of them and also took pictures on vacation which are some of my favorites. My favorite assignment was the burned negative because you could see the bubbles and warps from the flame. My best images were ones with high focus and pure blacks and whites. I believe that each photo captures a memory and that's why I wanted to take photography, I enjoy pictures and I wanted to expand my learning on a different way to take pictures. At the end of the year I made a pinhole camera which helped me realize how the camera really works and I had a lot of fun with it. I have always been interested in art and I love to draw but this semester I learned that photography is a way of art and with photography you are really capable of capturing moments which is why I find photography so fascinating and this website shows some of the moments I captured through photography.
